5 Tool Instructional Camps
Hitting   Running   Defense   Throwing   Mental Approach

We are excited to announce the release for our "5 Tool" Instructional Camps! These
will be the most comprehensive baseball development camps in New England, with a lineup of coaches that is unmatched. Players who attend will have a game changing experience, one that will make a difference in their baseball career.

Come train with us!

5 Tool Camp Focus:

Hitting:   All players will be evaluated on each phase of the swing, performing both universal and personalized drills in the cages and during on field batting practice.

Running:   Initial leads, reading the pitch and contact, approach at each base, and overall IQ.

Defense:   Position specific training for both primary and secondary positions including all infield positions, outfield, pitching, and catching.

Throwing:   Starting in warm-ups and continued during drill work, coaches will reinforce proper throw arm and glove arm path/positioning, while stressing the importance of throwing and receiving with a purpose.  Throwing will be both controlled and meaningful throughout the camp with all players following a daily pre and post throw routine. Wednesday will be a no throw day for all position players and pitchers.

Mental Approach:   Helping athletes manage their emotions and inner voice, establish pre pitch routines and resets, and improve breathing and focus. Recovery homework for both the mind and body will be provided after each session.

What makes this camp different?

With all the summer camp options to choose from, we feel it's important to touch on what makes us different at On Plane Academy and why the experience at our 5 Tool Camps will be an impactful one!

Approach

The structure and attention to detail with both position specific and overall skills training, is what separates our camps from the rest. Each coach is experienced and exceptional at balancing both expectations and positive reinforcement.

Coaching

Our staff is made up of ex college and pro ball players who have countless years coaching at all levels.  Marcus Crowell will be the lead instructor with the following coaches assisting with each camp:   Tony Miner, Drew Healey, Josh Osich, Mike Macdonald, and Nic Lops.

Development

Improved on field performance, both mentally and physically, is our main objective with the 5 Tool Camps.  These camps are geared towards players who are serious about taking the next step in being the very best version of themselves, regardless of ability.
